Seventh, Shaolin martial arts are well-known at home and abroad, and Shaolin monks have built up marvelous skills in history. In particular, in the early Tang Dynasty, the monks led by zhicao, Huiyao and tanzong attacked Wang Shichong’s back road, captured Wang Shichong’s nephew alive and sent him to Tangying to help Tang Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, Japanese pirates often harassed the southeast coastal areas of China. Shaolin monks were called to fight against Japanese invaders and made contributions. In order to commemorate these monks, when they died, later generations also built tombs for them in the Tallinn, buried their spiritual bones, and recorded their achievements in the war in the tower inscription. For example, in the Eastern District of Shaolin Temple, the “three wonders monk’s longevity tower” built in the 27th year of Jiajing (1548) in the Ming Dynasty is a tomb tower commemorating the famous monk Yougong (famed zhouyou) and others of Shaolin Temple in the Ming Dynasty. The pagoda is a flat square brick tower with dense eaves. The south wall of the first floor of the pagoda is inlaid with stone pagodas, and the regular script is “bestowed to the great Shaolin Temple, the world’s rival church monk. During the Zhengde period, Mengqin took Xuandiao to guard the border cities such as Shanshan, Shaanxi, etc., and the imperial capital’s general proposal was to capture the life tower of Yunnan Liebing, detaining officials, appreciating friends, gongs, sangqi and monks Li Chen was founded in late June of the 27th Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. The tower civilization recorded the historical facts that Zhou you was granted the title of “Xuandiao by Mengqin” in Zhengde’s reign, and he was ordered to lead the monks to Yunnan to pacify the rebellion and get the official reward. After Zhou you died, Li Chen, the chief of the Yiwei Department of Henan Province, and his disciples and grandchildren, such as Hong Zhong and Guangshun, contributed to the construction of the pagoda, which can be described as the construction of the tombs by officials and monks. The existing “pagoda of monks in Wanan Temple of shungong in the Ming Dynasty” in the Eastern District of Tallinn is the pagoda of monks in shungong (the name of Guangshun), a well-known monk and the Shaolin Temple, which was built to fight against Japanese invaders. The pagoda is a five story solid brick Pagoda with flat, square and dense eaves. On the first floor of the pagoda, stone pagodas are inlaid on the front, and regular script is written on the forehead. “All the temples in Shaolin have been granted the honor of fighting for seventy-four years by shungong Wan’an monks. They are filial to the emperor, martial artists, sun Daolong, and Dao Qiu In March of the 47th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. In the western area of Tallinn, there is also the “stupa of the great talent of Ming Dynasty”. It is to commemorate the famous monk of Shaolin Temple who fought against Japanese in Ming Dynasty. The pagoda is a flat square brick Pagoda with dense eaves. The first floor of the pagoda is inlaid with stone pagodas with regular script on the forehead. “It’s a pagoda for a great monk who is eighty-three years old. It’s a pagoda for filial piety to sun Zongqing, filial piety to sun Daohu, filial piety to sun Qingzhi and Qing Wang. It’s an April auspicious day for filial piety to sun Zongqing.”. In addition to the above-mentioned stupas, there are many tombs of martial arts masters and fighting monks in the Shaolin Temple, which are not listed one by one due to limited space. The historical materials recorded in the amount, inscriptions and inscriptions of these tombs and pagodas provide very precious material materials for the study of Shaolin martial arts and Shaolin monks’ resistance to Japanese occupation and border protection.

Eighth, in the history of Shaolin Temple, due to the strong support of the Tang Dynasty, it has become a famous temple with famous everywhere, gathering of eminent monks and splendid halls, so the Tang Dynasty is the prosperous period of Shaolin Temple. However, when the original historical materials and many works talked about Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty, they only described the scale and reputation of Shaolin Temple in a general way, etc., but it was not clear how large the scale of Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty was and how to define the scope and four sites. In 2002, the author explored the Pagoda Forest, combined with the records of the location of the tombs and the analysis of the landform around the temple, and made a preliminary definition of the general location of the four sites of Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty. Located in the Tallinn, the “fawan Zen master tower” was built in 791, the seventh year of Zhengyuan in the Tang Dynasty. According to the taming, “Zen master taboo fawan, the common surname is Zhang, who was born in the Wei Dynasty first In the autumn of the sixth year of Zhenyuan, on August 13, he died in the adored Temple of Dongdu. On the 19th day of the Yue Dynasty, his disciples built towers all over their bodies in the west of Shaolin Temple in songqiu (mountain). ” Fawan Zen master is a famous monk of Tang Dynasty. He lived in Luoyang and Shaolin all his life. “He fought against evils and returned to justice, turned his mind into a light, taught to be enslaved in Luohe, and became less virtuous in Song Dynasty.”. After his death, the later generations built the pagoda in “the west of Shaolin Temple”, which defined the general orientation of the west boundary of Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty. In addition, the existing “Ganlu platform” in the west of Changlin temple and the east of talin temple also has the record of “living in the west of Tangbei Temple”, so it is speculated that the West site of Changlin temple in Tang Dynasty should be near Ganlu platform, or between Ganlu platform and current hospital. The south boundary of Shaolin Temple is the Shaoxi River in front of the temple, which is the natural boundary of the temple; the north boundary should be within the back wall of the present thousand Buddha Hall, because the thousand Buddha Hall (also known as Pilu hall, Pilu hall, thousand Buddha Hall) is the last Hall of the temple, which is built on the basis of “chiseling mountains”. After investigation, it is confirmed that the rear wall of the temple is indeed a foundation wall built by cutting rocks, and there is no trace of any foundation site on the hillside behind the wall. Therefore, the North site of Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty should be located near the present thousand Buddha Hall. Although the eastern part of the temple is relatively open and has no natural Temple boundary, the two existing tombs of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties provide us with the answer to the eastern boundary of the temple. Among them, the “Xingjun Buddhist tower” built in the fourth year of Tongguang of the Tang Dynasty (926) after the Five Dynasties, with the inscription “Fa Hua Jun and Da De, the ancient temple leader of song mountain Shaolin Temple in the Tang Dynasty, in parallel” recorded that “the Da de method forbids Xingjun, the common name is Yan, and so are the Yangwu people in Zhengzhou It was destroyed on July 20, the third year of Tongguang. It was seventy-eight in the spring and Autumn period and fifty-nine in sengla. According to the law of the western countries, the disciples of the temple are close to each other, their salaries are exhausted, their ashes are collected, and they start the pagoda in the northeast corner of the temple. “It clearly points out the orientation relationship between the Xingjun Buddhist pagoda and Shaolin Temple, which was built in the fourth year of Tongguang in the five generations after Tang Dynasty, 19 years away from Tang Dynasty. In particular, the “Tongguang Buddhist pagoda” built in the sixth year of the Tang Dali (771) and in the east of the existing temple is inlaid with stone inscriptions on the back of the pagoda, with the inscription “Shaolin Temple in the Tang Dynasty is in parallel with the inscription of the Zen master in the light Zen Buddhism taboo Tongguang, Jin people also On June 27, the fifth year of the lunar calendar, the Buddhist monastery of Shaolin Temple was built to sit for the first time. It is more than 60 steps to the northeast of the temple. It lists the Shisong trees, builds the zita temple, and ends in the sky forever. “It is clearly pointed out that Tongguang tower is located in more than 60 steps to the northeast of the temple, which provides an accurate basis for defining the East site of Shaolin Temple in the Tang Dynasty. According to the calculation of one step and five feet, more than 60 steps are converted into more than 300 feet, about 90 meters. Now Shaolin Temple is often hospitalized from the outer edge of the east wall to the outer edge of the west wall of Tongguang tower, with a vertical distance of nearly 60 meters. It can be seen that the east boundary of Shaolin Temple in Tang Dynasty should be about 10 meters within the east wall of the current temple. If the natural step of “more than 60 steps” is used, the east boundary is about the east wall of the current temple. This kind of conjecture may not be very accurate, but it can roughly understand the location and scale of the temple at that time, that is to say, it is similar to the location and scale of the current Shaolin Temple. Therefore, the location of the monks’ tombs inside and outside the Shaolin pagoda reflects the relationship with the location and distance of the temple at that time, which is of great reference value to the study of the history of Shaolin Temple in the Tang Dynasty, especially the four sites and the scale of the temple in the Tang Dynasty.
